FAQ
Questions and answers
Short answers about how Convurx works. Each converter page also has its own questions.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Your browser reads and converts your files, and they never leave your device. The only thing Convurx sends to a server is a small check of your free limit, with no file data in it.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every converter and PDF tool on this site is free to use, with no account and no sign up.
What are the free limits?
You get 5 conversions every 30 minutes, and 10 images every 30 minutes on the image converters. A batch of several files usually counts as one conversion, but PowerPoint, audio, video, Compress, Repair, Lock and Unlock count each file. Extracting icons from ICO and CUR files is not counted.
Why is there a limit?
The limit keeps the free site fair for everyone and stops automated abuse. Your files are still converted on your device, and Convurx Desktop, coming soon, has no limits.
Is there a file size limit?
Yes. Each file can be up to 50 MB, audio and video up to 200 MB, PowerPoint files up to 300 MB and ICO or CUR files up to 5 MB. A dropped folder adds up to 500 files at a time.
Does it work offline or on my phone?
It works in any modern browser, phones included, though very large files can be slow on a phone. You need an internet connection to open the page and load the converters, so it does not work fully offline. For offline use there is Convurx Desktop, coming soon.
What is Convurx Desktop and Premium?
Convurx Desktop is a desktop app that is still being built. Convurx Desktop is coming to Windows first. Mac and Linux versions are planned. Premium, inside the app, converts offline with no limits and handles big batches and large files. Everything on this website stays free.
Who made Convurx?
