How it works
- Drop one or more PDFs.
- Type a password of at least 4 characters, twice.
- Download the locked copy. The password never leaves this device.
Good to know: Pages are redrawn as images to apply the password, so text in the locked copy is no longer selectable.
Free limit
Each file counts as one conversion, so a batch of three files uses three. You get 5 every 30 minutes for free.

How do I lock a PDF?
Drop one or more PDFs, type a password of at least 4 characters twice, then press Lock. Opening the locked copy asks for that password.
Can I still copy text from the locked PDF?
No. Pages are redrawn as images to add the password, so the text in the locked copy is not selectable.
Is my password sent anywhere?
No. The password is used in your browser and never leaves your device.
Does it count against the free limit?
Each file counts as one conversion, so a batch of three files uses three of your free conversions.
